I had a nice relaxing weekend with the fiance. We went to the comic book store on Saturday (it was $1 back issue day) and I purchased most of the Batgirl Detective run that I had wanted and the new iZombie. On Sunday we went to my parents house to help my dad put up a new gutter and then on Monday I made a new vest (which will need some ripping/ restitching) and a coffee cozy for my new mug. I worked on the cowl that I'm knitting for my dad's Christmas gift and I watched copious amounts of West Wing and Stargate Atlantis- oh, and this documentary series from the BBC called the Monarchy. The narrator is this very stuffy man who looks angry throughout and pronounces parliament as parLEEment. Good times. Here is a photo of my new coffee mug cozy :)



I tried the Alabama Studio style (cutting out and then stitching around the cutout) and I like how it turned out. I think I will try some different colors next time and maybe incorporate something geeky.
